Kindle is the leading name of eBooks, the name itself is used as a verb rather than a noun when people speak about reading certain books. Although there are many other eBook services the marketing power of Amazon has made Kindle the household name. The library is forever growing and with more and more readers joining, their purchasing power for even more books keeps growing. It has even moved into audiobooks, which is odd as Amazon also have audible, meaning they will either have to keep audiobook options limited, or one day join the 2 services.

What is difference to Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading?
Prime reading is a smaller library of books available to anyone with a prime account. Kindle Unlimited will include all these books and more.

Kindle has a limit of 10 books on the account at once. If you would like to add a new book you must remove one, in comparison Scribd allows 20.
Is Kindle Unlimited free for Prime members?
No it is a separate service but also from Amazon. You will need to sign up and pay separately on your Amazon account. However if you have prime then you will have access to Prime Read which is just a limited version of Kindle with far fewer books.
Are books on Kindle Unlimited free?
You pay the monthly subscription cost and then can read as many books as you like, with a limit of 10 going at a time, so nothing is really ever free. Unless you have Prime Reads and a Prime account.

No, they will only remain until the end of your current billing period. It is not like audible where you own the titles you choose.
Do you own Kindle books forever?
No you do not keep them if you have cancelled your subscription. Kindle may also lose rights to books on the rare occasion. When/if this happens, they will be removed without warning, this has happened before.

They can do, realistically this does not happen often so do not worry about this too much. Unless you are reading magazines which may be removed more often as they often go out of date.

Although Kindle is available on Phone, tablet and PC, these all create eye strain. Therefore, your only real option will be a Kindle.
